Online poker has become world celebrated as of late, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game shows. Its universal appeal, though, stretches back quite a bit further than its TV ratings. Over the years several types on the earliest poker game have been created, including some games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to twenty-one than old guard poker, in that the players bet against the dealer instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little bluffing or other types of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up prior to the croupier declares "No further bets." At that moment, both you and the bank and of course all of the different players attain five cards each. Once you have seen your hand and the casino’s initial card, you must either make a call wager or surrender. The call wager’s value is equal to your original wager, meaning that the stakes will have doubled. Bowing out means that your ante goes instantaneously to the bank. After the bet comes the conclusion. If the house does not have ace/king or greater, your wager is given back, with a sum in accordance with the original bet. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand is greater than the bank’s hand. The bank pays cash equal to your ante and fixed odds on your call bet. These expectations are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for 2 pairs
- three to one for three of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- twenty to one for a four of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
