Web poker has become world celebrated as of late, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back quite a bit farther than its television ratings. Over the years several variants on the earliest poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with vingt-et-un than old guard poker, in that the gamblers bet against the dealer instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little concealment or different kinds of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up prior to the dealer declares "No more bets." At that point, both you and the dealer and of course every one of the other players attain 5 cards each. After you have looked at your hand and the bank’s 1st card, you need to in turn make a call bet or give up. The call wager’s amount is akin to your beginning wager, meaning that the risks will have increased two fold. Surrendering means that your ante goes instantly to the house. After the bet is the face off. If the casino does not have ace/king or greater, your wager is given back, with a figure equal to the ante. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or better, you win if your hand is greater than the dealer’s hand. The casino pony’s up money even with your bet and controlled expectations on your call wager. These odds are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- two to one for 2 pairs
- three to one for three of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- twenty to one for a four of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
